From getting lost in the vast corn mazes to sipping cider while searching for the perfect pumpkin, the activities offered at pumpkin patches will have you wishing fall would never end. Colorado is home to many farms and patches, but we narrowed down our eight favorite pumpkin patches within twenty miles of Denver!

Rock Creek Farm
One of the largest pumpkin patches in Colorado, Rock Creek Farm offers over 100 acres of U-Pick Pumpkin fields to explore! The fun doesn’t stop there, as they also offer over six miles of corn mazes, farm animal visits, festive treats and decorations, and other great activities for all to enjoy. Open late on weekends for you to explore the corn maze with a flashlight at night under the stars. The late-night corn maze is haunt and scare free, great for little ones! Tagawa Gardens
Open every weekend in October, Tagawa Gardens Pumpkin Festival is educational, festive, and fun! This unique pumpkin fest offers exhibits where children and adults alike can learn about nature and wildlife. Some of these include their bat cave, their hands-on bug and insect presentation, grape stomping, inflatable obstacle courses, and so much more! Of course, traditional pumpkin patch activities like mini-train rides, pony rides, hayrides and pumpkin decorating are also part of the fun!5

Hill's Harvest Pumpkin Patch
Hill's Harvest grows Pie Pumpkins, Wee-Be-Littles, gourds, and pumpkins and pumpkins of all sizes, small, medium, large, jumbo and giant for for making Jack-O- Lanterns. September is when they start harvesting the pumpkins.  You have the choice of going through their pumpkin patch and picking out your own pumpkins...6

Denver Botanic Gardens
Chatfield Farms: This 700-acre native plant refuge hosts various events throughout the year, but their treasured October Pumpkin Festival might take the cake! This event is only one weekend per year, so make sure to check it out before it’s gone! Enjoy access to the 10-acre pumpkin patch along with a multitude of children’s activities.
