Considered one of the top children’s museums in the entire country, the Children’s Museum of Denver is a must!

Kids will find a 3.5-story climbing tower, a six-foot bubble, sculpting clay masterpieces, and endless exhibits and activities! Every child and parent in Denver should visit this awesome museum!

This awesome museum is located in Hangar #1 of the former Lowry Air Force Base and hosts over 182,000 square feet of hangar space filled with aircraft, space vehicles, artifacts, military uniforms, and more.

Not exactly a museum per se, but it kind of manages to fulfill the concept.

There are two locations of the Denver Botanic Garden: Chatfield Farms and York Street. Kids and families can enjoy endless garden explorations, learn about plants from all over the globe, and enjoy several kid-friendly events and activities.

The Denver Art Museum is the right place for the little ones to step into the magical world of art. You will find events, programs, activities, and even camps for all ages.

History Colorado Center is a great option if you want to visit educational places in Denver with the family! The rich history of Colorado comes alive at the History Colorado Center.

With over a million gallons of underwater exhibits, the Downtown Aquarium serves as a unique kind of museum for the whole family.

The Center for Visual Art (CVA) is the off-campus art gallery of the Metropolitan State University of Denver.

The CVA provides art experiences for all ages from local and international artists, and it serves as an interactive laboratory for MSU Denver and the community!

Trains fans will have a blast at the Colorado Railroad Museum! 

The museum features over 100 gauge steam and diesel locomotives, passenger cars, caboose HO Model Railroad, and a G-scale garden railway! There’s also a gallery and library to check out!

This is Jefferson County’s original paleontology museum and a perfect place to discover the dinosaurs of Colorado with hands-on exhibits and expert guides!

Kids will enjoy a bunch of fun and interesting activities, including exploring historic and modern fossils and seeing real research in the fossil prep lab.

Dinosaur Ridge is a National Natural Landmark that can easily serve as an outdoor museum.

It has been ranked as the top dinosaur track site in the entire country, and one of the top such sites in the world!

Come see what life was like for the early Colorado settlers from many years ago.

This museum hosts many structures from before 1915 that are still standing today. This historic piece of Colorado history is as informative as it is fun!

The Butterfly Pavillion features amazing exhibits that provide guests the opportunity to get close and personal with the wonders of nature’s hidden heroes through hands-on, interactive experiences catered to all ages!
