Denver Botanic Gardens at York Street is located on 24 acres of land that has a huge collection of various plant species from all over the world. Their garden locations include:
Gardens of the West – 18 arid gardens that showcase plants that thrive in Colorado’s climate
Internationally Inspired Gardens – Plants from various regions around the world including Japan, South Africa, The Tropics and China
Ornamental Gardens – These gardens are full of color and feature favorites like irises, roses and daylilies.
Shady Gardens – A great place to explore on warmer days, this garden has lots of greenery and shady plants and trees
Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farms is a massive 700-acre native plant refuge that is located on the banks of Deer Creek in Jefferson County. They offer:
Gardens of the West – Similar to the York Street location, a collection of worldly plants
Hildebrand Ranch – a historic site going back to the 1860’s that is now a museum and small farm
Butterflies at Chatfield Farms – encounter native butterfly species as they fly through a colorful and lush butterfly house
Children’s Play Area – Featuring a treehouse and a pond, this is a great place to bring the kids while visiting the Gardens
