Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum serves as a dynamic center for the community, dedicated to igniting the passion for aviation through its engaging exhibits, events, and educational initiatives. Annually, it welcomes approximately 160,000 guests from every state in the U.S. and 28 countries across the globe, showcasing the universal allure of flight and space exploration.
In 1994, a dedicated team of volunteers took over the management of Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum from the United States Air Force. Nestled in Hangar #1 of the once-active Lowry Air Force Base in eastern Denver, the museum today boasts over 182,000 square feet filled with an impressive collection of aircraft, space vehicles, artifacts, military uniforms, and more. Guests can immerse themselves in realistic flight simulators, explore the Wings Aerospace Academy—an enriching program for students in grades 6 through 11—and enjoy a variety of thrilling events organized by the museum.
