This all-girls program will allow them to take part as firsthand witness research fields such as biomotion, surgery, or robotics. The Keystone Science School´s Girls in STEM: Medical Explorers focuses on careers related to medicine and medical research. They will be taking a trip to meet female researchers at the Steadman Philippon Research Institute (SPRI), and once there, the scientists will teach them how their research can inform and update medical practices. This activity will show how a male-dominated industry can be transformed from within, your kids will have a unique opportunity to ask these female professionals as many questions as they like, about their work, their research, or their experiences.
This Weekend-long experience is for 4th-grade to 8th-grade girls. They will have campus accommodation, reduced lunch rate, group bonding, lab activities rotation, female empowerment activities, and many more!
