About CAP (Counselor Assistant)

This program is for the older campers, entering grades 9th through 12th, the Counselor Assistants are the leaders of Discovery Camp, as one your kids will work on their leadership skills, develop friendships, create healthy relationships, gain experience in outdoor skills, science, adaptability, time management, and teaching, and increase their self-confidence. Each one will be paired with a staff member who will mentor them so they can learn from throughout their session. They will be having special leadership developing training each day and activities while also participating in all of the awesome camp activities and adventures, such as climbing, rafting, and mountain hiking.
The Counselor Assistants have their own room in the dorms of tents, and the opportunity to spend time with the other Counselors, but they will also be a part of the backpacking, rafting, hiking, and all of the adventurous activities. There’s no prior experience needed!

During the height of summer (usually June through August), high temperatures wreak havoc on humans who are not too keen on warm temperatures. However, survival is possible!
